What Your Neighbors Have to Say

"Just as she entered into office, the parish was at such a disarray, as many citizens were trying to recover from that devastating flood of 2016. She worked tirelessly to see that the citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish could get the assistance that they needed to restore their homes, as she too, was also a victim of that flood."

"[When] Mayor Broome was tasked with developing the community, she also recognized the disparities
that exist, especially between the South end of the parish and the North end of the parish, which was filled with  blight. She knew that something needed to be done to sustain and rebuild [the] community. Mayor Broome formed a plan of action with Build Baton Rouge to revitalize Plank Road, to dissolve the blight and restore the economy."
